The Curious Crocodiles had a SUPER time on their sports day. The day started with a buzz as usual, but the Crocodiles decided to bring their competitive caps with them. They were dressed and ready for the day ahead, even Miss Clare had her sports gear on! So, off they went with their bottles in their hands, hats on their heads and the words 'try your best' in their minds. We had a nice and easy start, with throwing being our first station. The Crocodiles impressed Miss Clare as they quickly popped themselves into 3 groups and told her what they needed to do. They showed off their throwing skills and set off for the next station, the relay. Here the Crocodiles sported some wonderful team work and were able to pass the baton beautifully. With our indoor stations complete we headed outside to the sprint, obstacle and javelin stations. This is were the Croc's competitive nature game into good use. Not only did they all try their very best, but they showed wonderful sportsmanship by cheering and congratulating all their peers. All in all, the Crocodiles had a SUPER SPORTS DAY and they would like to thank everyone that came to support us.
It was not a normal Monday for the Curious Crocodiles on 2nd of February 2015, we were all really excited to go to Satwa Park.
The Curious Crocodiles were getting ready to go. They needed to take their: Water Bottles Snacks School Hats Mads Hatter's hat. Finally, we were all ready to go to Satwa Park. We excitedly walked out of school with our talk partners chatting about what fun we would have.
Once we got there we sat on the grass eating yummy food. We played different games like Bouls, Parachute, Egg and Spoon Race, Rounders and Sketching. Then we had some jam tarts that were yummy that we had made.
Hello Crocodile's, Next week we will be learning all about measurements. Before we start I would like you all to have a head start in your learning. Look at the picture below, what units of measure match with each of the equipment. What would measure in; centimeters (cm), meters (m), kilograms (kg), grams (g), liters (L), and milliliters (ml). Write all your ideas in a comment. Remember these are just ideas, don't worry if they are wrong! Get measuring, monsters! :)
Over the past few weeks we have been learning all about adventure stories and all the different features that need to be included. One of the features is speech punctuation, we need this to show the reader when different characters are speaking at different times in our writing. There is so much to remember when we write speech. Here's a little clip to remind the Curious Crocodile's how to use speech punctuation successfully. Write a comment using speech below to show how you have used the 3 steps Terry has told you about.
In the first week back the Curious Crocodile's came back talking a load of nonsense! It worked out quite well, as we soon found out that a lot of the characters in Alice in Wonderland (the book that we are reading) also spoke a lot of nonsense too. Take a look at the children performing their favorite nonsense poem, On The Ning Nang Nong! Watch this space for their own versions of the poem too!
